Is it okay for a girl to ask a guy out?

Dear Advice Girl,

There's a guy at school I've been crushing on forever. We’re friends, but I want to be more than that.

My friends says that it's lame to ask a guy out, and that you have to wait until he asks you out. Are they right?

Dear Pink,

Are you friends, like, Donna Reed and June Cleaver? 'Cause anyone from 2008 would know that it's totally not lame for girls to ask out guys.

In fact, some guys (just like some girls) are so clueless, nervous or shy that if you don’t make a move, no one will.

Just casually invite him somewhere fun this weekend, or ask him to the next big school event. Then show up and see what happens.

It might sound scary, but it's what you've gotta do to go from Friends to More-Than-Friends.
