Can I Go Out With a New Guy Yet?

My boyfriend and I broke up a month ago, and there's this guy that I really like who wants to ask me out. But I'm afraid to go out with him because my ex still has feelings for me. What should I do?

Dear Moogle,

You're acting like you're stuck inside a dating prison and can't go free till your ex-boyfriend is over you. Don't be so hard on yourself! As long as you feel ready to date again, you can do it.

And don't sweat too much about your ex. You'll sort of be doing him a favor: when he sees that you've moved on, it'll help him get over you a little faster (even if it bums him out in the short-term).

You've both gotta get on with your lives! Don't be afraid to take the first step.
