He's probably still got feelings left over from the relationship and he might still feel like any other guy talking to you is a threat to him. But then again. it doesn't always mean he wants you back. Depending on how long you've been broken up, he may need some time to think stuff out before either a) finding a new girl or b) asking for you back or even c) giving up on girls completely. Bottom line: wait and see how things go.

He's jealous he doesnt want you talking to another guy period. That proves that he still likes you and cant get over you. Of course he wants to be with you if anyones ex doesnt want them talking to another guy after they break up he's either not over you, wants to be really close friends, or wants you back.

Like Advice girl said, feelings don't just go away. if yall were truely in love then that will never go away, maybe it'll change a bit, but it won't go away. And seeing you flirting may have set him off because he still maybe a little territorial of you, he may want you back, but NEVER get your hopes up.
