How Should I Break Up With Him?

Dear Advice Girl,

I want to break up with my boyfriend but I don't know how to do it! Should I break up with him or should my friend do it for me?

There's only one reason to get your friend to dump your guy for you: you're a chicken who's too afraid to do it herself.

You don't wanna be a chicken, do you? Of course not.

Grow up and do your own dirty work. (And not over IM or a text message. In person.) Your boyfriend deserves at least enough respect to hear the bad news from you. Yes, it's still gonna hurt him - but it'll hurt him less than if he has to hear it through a friend.

Besides - if you're mature enough to date, then you're mature enough to dump. Right?
