My boyfriend forgot my birthday!

Dear Advice Girl,

I don’t know if I should stay with my boyfriend or ditch him. He never pays much attention to me and always has an excuse for everything. It was my b-day recently and he didn’t even bother to call me, let alone get me anything. I was sooooo disappointed. The thing is, I really like him. What should I do?

Dear Refilwe,

Birthdays are no-brainers in relationship land. You get your sweetheart a cute present, you go out to eat or something, and everybody’s happy.

If your guy doesn’t even call you on your big day, then something’s really wrong here. And this isn’t the first time he’s let you down, either. You’ve given him lots of chances, and he keeps letting you down and hurting your feelings.

Dump him!

hey dr tis really bad on ur bfz part...but just try finding out the reason...if tis a genuine 1 den jst let him off this tym..if not then observe how he reacts after his mistake as in after u remind him...and den decide accordingly..goodluck

hey my EX bf didnt no my birthday,eye color, fave color, my middel name, and he didnt no when are 3 year aniversary was....he didnt even no when the first year was or the second year. i waisted so much time with him. time ill never get back.

well as for forgetting your b-day I would say that it was just a mistake, easily forgiven but ignoring you altother means its time to break up.

if ur bf 4gets ur birthday call up on him ask him have u 4gotten ma birthday n if he says yes than do sum thin dn't say in ur mind that ohh mi bf 4got mi birthday it's okay i can live with that no dn't ever do that in ur life wat u need 2 do is teach him a lesson tell him that u need sum time alone u need a break than from there if there is a party goin on sum where n u know that his gonna be there attend that dance with his bestfriend break it down with his friend than from there he will ask u a question if u 2 r still 2gether jst tell him yes u r but u still need break.....lol do it gal wen ur man is cheatin on u do sumthin bout it dn't sleep over it....

Maybe he's just forgetful. If so, forgive him. Maybe he's downright negligent and doesn't really care about you. If so, dump him. Only you know the right answer to this.

Maybe you should've called him? Just to say "hi" first of all. But, if it's not the first time, talk to him about it. Show him the error of his ways, and if he rejects the conversation, you should realize he doesn't deserve you.
