He Won't Let Me Break Up With Him!

Dear Advice Girl,

I don't think I like my boyfriend anymore. But every time I try to break up with him, he cries and refuses to let me leave him. What should I do?

Dear Christine,

If you're not happy with your relationship, it's time to end it already. (What else can you do? Get married and make babies with him just to keep him from crying?)

Breaking up now (rather than months from now) will be easier on him, too. Yeah, it'll still be hard - and he'll still be sad - but it'll keep him from getting even more attached to you, and it'll give him time to adjust to life without you.

So break up with him for good this time. Be nice to him about it, but be firm, too. When the convo ends, it should be clear to him that it's over.
