My ex & my friend are having an affair!

Dear Advice Girl,

Ok, so my ex and someone I consider a friend are having an affair, I think. I’ve asked them plenty but they continue to say no.

But! They go to lunch together every day and constantly flirt. And while I was at his house visiting, I found her pic with a message written on the back. It says:

“We met unexpectedly. We connected instantly. Within days things started to happen. Sparks flew & we were taken by surprise. You are like the other side of me. You seem to go through the same things as me. So I’m here for you whenever you need."

What do you think it means? What should I do?

Dear Lost and Confused,

Your ex and your friend have found love with each other, and they’re too afraid of your reaction to tell you the truth. (Pretty silly, I think, ‘cause they should’ve known you’d find out eventually.)

I know you’re pretty steamed about this, ‘cause you’re not completely over your ex, but look at it this way: they’re two people you care about. They didn’t do anything wrong (he’s your ex, not your boyfriend). Plus, they went out of their way to protect your feelings. So try to find it in your heart to be happy for them. It’ll be rough, and you’ll wanna yell at them and trash talk them with your friends, but - *sigh* - it’s the mature thing to do. And don’t we all just love being mature?
