My ex is going to ruin my summer!

Dear Advice Girl,

So there’s a community pool by my house and in the summer it’s like my 2nd home. Well I dated a guy who goes there a lot too, and this summer I think it’s going to be hard to go to the pool because I really liked him and now it’s awkward. What should I do??

Signed,
   Brooke

Dear Brooke,

For the sake of Betty Friedan, don’t quit going to the pool! It’s your favorite place to be, and some stupid boy shouldn’t be allowed to take that away from you. Besides, do you think he would stop going, just because he knew you were gonna be there? No way.

If things get awkward when you see him, just play it off. Say hi, tell him you hope things are going well, then lean back, catch some rays and pretend like you own the place. (A hot new bikini might help, too – just don’t tell any second-wave feminists I said that.)

Love,
   The Advice Girl

Just be yourself and ignore him if he makes fun of ya then ignore him. when u make a big deal when he does it he will just keep on doing it because he thinks its funny. so be yourself !

You don't have to go sit with him the whole time, but it would be nice to say hi or something, ya digg? Or you could just act like he doesn't exist. Haha.

Act like you don't know him. Once i dumped a dude and he had every single class with me in school and was my lab partner in 2 classes.... trust me going to the same pool isn't as bad as that was. ;) -Corinne

Just act like nothing happened. It may be awkward at first but it will get better.. hopefully[:
