If he says you're too happy for him then the reality is that he isn't happy enough for you. Although you may really like this guy right now if you got into a relationship with him he could be a drain on you and you might find your self being depressed. Your perfect guy would love you for being so happy and if he can't see how awesome you are happiness and all then he's not worth your concern.
