Can a Dance Help Me Win My Crush?

Dear Advice Girl,

I'm taking a hip-hop class after school, and the boy teaching it is REALLY cute and only 3 years older than me! I'm normally a great dancer, but when I'm in class I feel like a fool.

Any tips on how to do the dance AND get the guy, WITHOUT dying of embarrassment?

Dear Confused Dancer,

Acting like a clumsy mess in front of your crush is a timeless tradition. It's not something I can cure for you with a couple of magic words.

Here's what I can say: don't stress about it. Quit focusing on trying to look good - just focus on having fun (which is why you signed up for the class in the first place).

Besides, he's a teacher – he's supposed to see you screw up. If you totally nailed the dance right away, he wouldn't like you any more. In fact, it would give him fewer reasons to talk to you.
