How do you tell a guy who likes you that you like him back?

Dear Brittany,

Having an "I like you" conversation, where you admit your feelings for someone, is usually mortifyingly awkward for both people. So don't do it.

Instead, play it cool (and utterly un-awkward) by asking him out on a date. You don't need to call it a date - just call it hanging out. Pick a low-pressure activity like:

• Going to a friend's party together.
  
  
• Going to a school sporting event together.
  
  
• Going to the mall.
  
  
• Going to a concert.
  
  
• Going to see a movie that's coming out this weekend.

Hanging out one-on-one, outside of school, will make it much easier for you to explore your feelings for each other without needing to have any weird convos.

(And if it turns out he doesn't really have feelings for you, then you can just pretend you asked him out as a friend.)
