I'm white, my crush is black - is that bad?

Dear Advice Girl,

I really like this boy and I don't know how to tell him. But that's not the biggest problem. He's black, and I'm white. People tell me that it's bad to mix races when it comes to dating, or worse yet, love. What do I do?

There’s a word for those types of people: racists.

Seriously. The biggest fan in history of keeping races all separate and "pure" was Hitler. You're not gonna take his advice, are you? Eek. No way.

Now, as for the only real issue here: getting your crush to go out with you. Chat him up, get to know him better and give him a chance to know you. Then, when things start to get a little flirty, ask him out.

And if things never get flirty? Then maybe there isn't any chemistry between you. But it'll be because of personality differences and not because of what your great-great-great grandparents looked like.
