Can You Be Too Happy To Get A Date?

Dear Advice Girl,

I have a crush on a guy who says the only thing wrong with me is that I'm too happy a person for him. What do I do?

Signed,
   Stephy

Dear Stephy,

Sometimes, when you get rejected (and don't feel bad - it happens to everyone), the rejecter will pay you a totally illogical compliment like "You're too sweet of a person" or "I'm not good enough for you."

What does it mean? It means they like you enough to let you down gently (and maybe even to be your friend), but they don't like you enough to date you.

What should you do about it? Absolutely nothing. Do not change yourself, especially if since means turning yourself into a less happy person (whatever that means). Just take it for the kinda-sorta compliment it is and move on.

(Get more crush advice on my Facebook and Twitter pages!)

Love,
   The Advice Girl

Well I had someone like you ask me out one time. I turned her down too. Does this fit you: Too jumpy, overly energetic, talk too much, excessively wave your hands when you speak? Well if so, this guys seems to be a very well collected and reserved person and you're his opposite. He want someone mature, but at least is nice to let you down in a respectful matter.

Dear Stephy, If your to happy of a person for him then you don't need him. You never should change for a guy no matter how much you like him.
