Can Older Girls Date Younger Guys?

Dear Advice Girl,

There's this really cute guy I'm crushing on, and I'm pretty sure he likes me back. The problem is, he's a year younger than me and I feel weird about it. I mean, I've heard it's hard for a girl to date a younger guy because of maturity differences.

Dear Lizzy,

In general, you're right. Girls tend to mature faster than guys (although guys do catch up...eventually), which is why you see a lot more younger-girl couples than younger-guy couples.

But there are plenty of exceptions to that rule. So if you feel like the vibe is right between you and a younger guy, then go for it. As long as you like each other, age shouldn't matter. (You know - as long as it's legal.)
