What if I asked him out...like this?

Dear Advice Girl,

My crush and I don't hang out much. At dances we slow dance together but I'm not sure if he really likes me.

Would it be weird if I went up to him and a few other people, and ask them (and him) if they want to go see a movie with me? (My parents will only let me go on a group date thing.)

Signed,
   Tally

Dear Tally,

A group date at the movies sounds perfect. That way, the pressure's low, but you'll still have a chance to flirt and get to know him better.

But your plan for inviting him is all wrong. You'd be putting a bunch of people on the spot, which increases your chances of getting turned down. Plus, it just doesn't seem natural. (When have you ever been asked to the movies like that?)

Instead, make plans for a night out with a small, coed group of friends. Then ask him if he wants to come along. You'll seem like little miss popular - and even if he says no, you still get to have a fun night out.

Love,
   The Advice Girl

group / movie date sounds great, cause it's completly casual and even if you guys don't get along very well you still have your friends! plus, you can always get some ice cream after the movie with him for some nice one-on-one time!

Yeah a group date to the movies is a great idea because it gives your crush a chance to see you in a new setting. If that goes successfully you might try getting a group together to do something like bowling that way you have a chance to talk with your crush more and don't have to be quiet the majority of the date like you would in a movie.
