I Like Someone Besides My Boyfriend!

Dear Advice Girl,

I'm in a relationship, but I still sort of have feelings for someone I've liked since back when I was single. Is that wrong?

Dear Confused At Times,

If it were wrong, then just about every girlfriend on earth would die of guilt.

When you start dating someone new, your heart doesn't shut off. You'll still have some lingering feelings for old flames, and you'll probably get little crushes (or even big ones) on new people along the way.

As long as your love for your sweetie trumps everything, and you're happy to stay a one-man lady, it's okay to let those other feelings roll off your back.

But if those feelings are so intense that they're damaging your relationship, then admit to yourself that the status quo isn't working out. Staying with your guy wouldn't be fair to either of you. Break up with him and run after your crush (or someone else who makes your heart go pitter-patter).
