Is My Boyfriend Worth My Time?

Dear Advice Girl,

I only get to see my boyfriend on weekends because we go to different schools, and during the week we don't talk till like 9pm. The conversations are short, but he always says cute stuff like "I love you."

Is he worth my time? I like him, I just wish I could talk to him more.

Dear Sam,

As crappy as you think your relationship is, lots of people would find it perfect. Going solo on weekdays means lots of free time to hang out with friends, and you can do stuff like stay late at drama club or plan a girls' night out without feeling guilty.

Plus, the distance between you keeps things fresh, so when you do see each other, you're actually excited about it.

But don't just go by my opinion. Is this relationship making you happy? And is the joy you get from it greater than the frustration you sometimes feel? If the answer's no, then get out of it already, no matter what anyone else says.
