My Boyfriend Checks My Calls & Texts!

Dear Advice Girl,

My boyfriend goes through my phone and gets mad 'cause my ex-boyfriends text and call me, and he tells me I need to stop talking to them. What should I do?

Dear Miranda,

Okay...what I'm about to say might sound harsh, but promise me you'll listen.

You have every right to be friends with your exes. What your boyfriend's doing - by invading your privacy, and by trying to control who you talk to - is a form of dating abuse.
