My Guy Won't Do PDA's at School!

Dear Advice Girl,

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 3 1/2 weeks. When I'm with him (after school, around town) we cuddle and kiss and hug and laugh. But when we're at school, he stays with me, but doesn't hold my hand or put his arm around me. What does that mean?

Dear Kathryn,

Everyone feels a little differently about public displays of affection. Some people don't mind kissing in front of their family, while other people won't even hold their sweetie's hand when their mom's around. It all depends on your comfort level.

Your guy doesn't like acting cutesy around his classmates, and that's okay. It might bum you out, but it's got nothing to do with how he feels about you. (Want proof? Well, he still likes hanging around you, doesn't he?)

Don't give him a hard time about it. And definitely don't pressure him into PDA's. As he gets more comfortable with the whole relationship thing, he might change his mind - but that decision's gotta come from him, not you.
