My bf was slow dancing with other girls!

Dear Advice Girl,

Last night there was a school dance that I couldn’t go to. Afterward, I got a call from my best friend saying my boyfriend was slow dancing with other girls. I was so upset, I cried myself to sleep. What should I do about him? I really, really like him, you know?

Dear Nina,

Slow dancing is usually just a way to be social and have fun. What did you expect your boyfriend to do during the slow songs? Slump into the corner and text you for three minutes?

If this is just a case of you feeling left out, then get over it. Feel honored that your guy can dance with his friends but know in his heart that he belongs to you.

But if you have reason to believe this was more than just slow dancing – like if he was dancing with the same girl all night – then talk to him. And thank your best friend for being such a good spy.
