What It Means If He Won't Go 'Official'

My crush likes me back, but he doesn't want to go "official." At least not yet. Does this mean something in Guy World?

Yeah, it does. And it's not good news. It means he wants all the benefits of being your man (like the kisses and the confidence boost) without giving up the fun of being single.

Letting him get his way might not seem like a big deal, but you're bound to get hurt. If he acts like a boyfriend but he isn't your boyfriend, you'll get bogged down with mixed signals - and each time he flirts with someone else, skips out on a Saturday night or reminds you that you don't have an anniversary to celebrate, your heart will get a little more broken.

Talk to him and let him know your concerns. But whatever you do, don't let him use you. You want a real boyfriend, so don't settle for anything less - even if it means holding out for someone who's actually willing to commit.
