My Mom Says I'm Too Young To Date!

Dear Advice Girl,

My mom is strict and says I can't date till I turn 15. When guys ask me out, I have no choice but to say no!!! It's so embarrassing to say that my mom won't let me. Should I sneak out and date anyway???

Dear Hopeless Romantic,

Here's the rule with strict parents: you've gotta play by their rules, or else they'll get mad and give you even more rules. If you do anything behind their backs, you're just asking for it.

Your one way out (besides, you know, turning 15) is to try to compromise. See if she'd be cool with having your bf-wannabe over for dinner, or "pre-dating" - hanging out with him in a friendly group setting. The more mature you are about it, the better she'll listen.

BTW, there's no shame in telling a guy that you can't date yet. If he likes you enough, he'll be cool with it...and if not, well, good riddance.

talk to your mom about it, let her know how you feel, you gotta understand moms wanna protect their children the best way they can, hang out with him as friends invite him over to dinner or movie night with the family let your parents get to knoe him and when your mom sees he is a good guy she wil slowly let you go to movies or something let you two actually date(:
