He caught me flirting on myspace!

Dear Advice Girl,

I’ve been dating this great guy I love with all my heart. Three months into it, he asked if he could see my myspace and I said yes. Once he did, he found out I was flirting with someone else. We broke up and got back together 2 days later. We are still together...but when I tell him I love him, he tells me to “prove it.” Is there any way I can gain his trust back??

I’m sorry, but if you really loved him with all your heart, you wouldn’t have been flirting with another boy. (Especially not on myspace, where everyone can see it.) If it takes you three more months to earn back his trust, well, that’s a pretty good punishment. You should just be thankful he hasn’t lost his faith in you completely.

Next time, don’t flirt with other boys. Or at least have the decency to do it in private.
