He hasn't responded to my love letter!

Dear Advice Girl,

I like this guy, and apparently it’s really obvious. Well, I just recently told him that I like him. I wrote him a note and gave it to him during class. The thing is, I didn’t get a response.

Things haven’t really changed, meaning we’re still friends and he’s not ignoring me or anything, but I still don’t know if he likes me. What should I do?

Dear Aimee,

Not to sound like a self-help book or anything, but he’s just not that into you. If he was, you’d know by now.

Even if he won’t be your boyfriend, he’s still doing an admirable thing by pretending to ignore this whole thing ever happened. (Yes, it would’ve been more admirable to actually talk to you about his feelings, but he’s a teenage guy – we should just be grateful he doesn’t screen your phone calls and avoid all eye contact.)

He still wants to be your friend, and if that sounds good to you, too, then you should go along with it. Take a tip from him and try to forget you ever sent him that note.
