She only talks to me online!

Dear Advice Girl,

I like this girl, I haven’t seen her in a really long time (like a few years), but we talk on AIM, MySpace and cell phones. But when we try to make plans, something always comes up, usually on her part.

Should I just call her and tell her how I feel about her, and why meeting up is so important to me? Or wait it out and hope we get to do something together soon?

Dear Justin,

When someone breaks plans with you over and over and over again, it means they're not interested. Come on. No one is that busy that they can’t make time for you, at least after a couple weeks of phone tag. Even the most frantic, stressed-out people get around to seeing the people they like. If this girl had feelings for you, she would’ve already met you for burritos or something.

I’m not telling you this to make you feel bad. I’m telling you...well, mostly ‘cause you asked. And also to clue you in on what’s going on in her head, and to show you that confessing your feelings won’t really help you out. She’s just not interested. So quit trying to make plans with her and save that empty space on your calendar for someone who really deserves it.
