My friend's bf always flirts with me!

Dear Advice Girl,

My friend’s boyfriend is always flirting with me. It’s not anything serious, because he treats all girls that way. My friend doesn’t mind that he flirts with other girls, but it kinda bothers me. I’ve tried to mention it to him several times, but I get really embarrassed each time and can’t bring myself to tell him. What should I do?

Dear Flirting Victim,

No one deserves to make you feel uncomfortable, especially in a weird, creepy, sexual way. Even if everyone says it’s no big deal. Even if he does it to everyone else and they don’t seem to mind. So put an end to it already, no matter what it takes.

Next time he flirts with you, tell him to stop it. (No need to rehearse an embarrassing speech - just tell him, “Could you please not talk to me like that? I don’t like it.”) If he doesn’t listen, tell him again. If he still doesn’t listen, tell your friend about it, too.

And don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. The truth is, there’s a good chance that some of the other girls he flirts with are creeped out by him, too. If you stand up for yourself, you’ll be encouraging those girls to do the same thing. And that’s pretty rad.
