Dear Justice,

Don't do it! It might seem like a good idea, 'cause you won't have to work up the nerve to talk to him yourself - but it could totally backfire. Here's why:

You'll look bad. Your crush will wonder why you didn't ask him out yourself, and he might assume that you're immature or too shy to date.
You won't be in control. You might love your friend dearly, but there's nothing stopping her from saying something totally embarrassing. Why risk it?
The joke factor. There's a chance he might think your friend is joking around - and if he does, he won't reveal his true feelings.

Sometimes using your friend as a middle man does work out - but your chances are better if you do it yourself. So man up and talk to him! If you're old enough to date, you're old enough to flirt.

It can end up being a bad thing.. You want the guy to think that you are a confident girl and he is going to wonder if your friend is telling the truth or not because many friends joke around with things like that.. Then who is to know ur friend may even start talking to him and then he might see that he has more in common with ur friend then he does with you.. I don't think that it is worth the risk
