All we do is make out!

Dear Advice Girl,

My boo and I have watched a lot of movies at the theater but all we mostly do is make out. I like it, but can’t a girl get a little air? How can I make him see that my body is not the movie screen?

Dear Zo,

Well, here’s how it works. The first time you went to the movies with your guy, you did a little PDA. It was fun, it was exciting, and if it made you uncomfortable at all, you didn't tell him about it. The next movie you saw with him, he was grabbing at more than just the popcorn, and as far as he knew, you were into it. And he’ll make the same assumption every time you see a movie together. Why? Because guys (okay, not all guys – but a whole lot of them) think that if you don’t say “no,” you’re having just as much fun as they are – and they’ll keep going if you don’t stop them.

So if you’re not into the back-row smooching? Just tell him. Say something before you even get to the theater – that way he won’t be all caught up in the heat of things. If he puts up a fight, or ignores you, or does anything you asked him not to do, then he is a disgusting pig and you should run out of the theater immediately. (Don’t forget to grab some popcorn on the way out.)
