It sounds more like he was marking his territory. Even if he likes doing something, he wouldn't do it everyday. I think he was trying to tell other guys to back off because you're taken. *shrugs* That's what I think.

Hickies are not good things, they are an indecation that your boyfriend does not know what he is doing, when a boy kisses your neck, he should not be sucking it. If you are continously getting hickies you might want to talk to him about it.
