How do you kiss someone with braces?

I’m getting braces soon, and I think my boyfriend might break up with me because of it. And how r u supposed to kiss with braces?

Dear Mariah,

If your boyfriend breaks up with you because of some braces, he’s lame and shallow. And he’s also pretty dumb, because braces and kisses go together just fine.

Seriously. Kissing someone with braces is totally safe (as long as you don't try to lick their teeth or something). The chances of getting jabbed or cut are super-low, and those rumors you've heard about "getting caught" (ick) originated in, like, 1940 when braces weren't as smooth and kissing-friendly as they are today.

So if your guy does dump you, don’t be afraid to make out with someone else on the rebound.
