Why won't she kiss me??

Dear Advice Girl,

There’s this girl I really like, we’ve gone out several times now. She says she likes me too, but at the end of each date, I try to kiss her and she always pulls back. I know it’s not my breath and I have never eaten garlic on any of our dates.

What could I be doing wrong? Or is she saying that she likes me just for the sake of saying it?????

Okay, first off, you are not an idiot. Plenty of smart, sensible guys who are great with women run into much worse problems than yours. Dating’s tricky. No one ends up with a perfect track record.

So why isn’t she kissing you? It’s for one of three reasons: either she’s shy about kissing guys in general, or she's waiting till she's ready to kiss you, or she's not into you and doesn't want to hurt your feelings. Which one is it? I dunno. You’ve got to ask her yourself.

Don’t be nervous - she’s probably expecting you to ask her. And don’t feel bad about it - you deserve an answer. It’s not fair for her to keep fending off kisses without telling you why. (And no, it’s not ‘cause of your breath. I promise.)
