Will I ever get a first kiss?

Dear Advice Girl,

I’m 14 and I’ve never kissed anyone. All of my friends have been kissed, and when guys ask me if I have, I feel stupid saying no.

Why haven’t I??! I don’t wanna go my whole life without getting kissed!

Dear Oddball,

Okay, let’s clear up a couple of things:

1. There’s no right or wrong age to have your first kiss. Some people go through all of high school without it. No big deal – it just makes that first one all the more exciting.


2. The fact that your pals have all been kissed has nothing to do with you, so don’t compare yourself to them. (What’s the point?)


3. You will not go your whole life without getting kissed. Um. Just trust me on this one. It’ll happen – and when it does, you’ll be bummed you spent so much time freaking out about it.

Got it? Good.

And if a guy really asks you if you’ve ever been kissed, give him a sly smile and say, “That’s none of your business.” (It’s true...and it’s also kind of flirty.)
