advice girl
Dear Advice Girl,
Hey, uh, I really, REALLY like this boy. He likes me and I like him. He told me he loves me, but it doesn’t sound like he means it. For example, he would be like this: “Luv you.” He never says, “I love you.” Yea, so I REALLY need ur advice. Like does it sound like he means it?
Signed,
Jessica
Dear Jessica,
Luv = love. Especially if it comes from a boy. (It’s such a huge, earth-shattering feat for them to say anything like that for the first time – if they misspell it a little bit, you’re allowed to forgive them.)
So I’m pretty positive that your boy is feeling it for real. But if you need a second opinion, straight up tell him, “I love you.” If he says “I love you” back, you’re golden. If he says anything else, he might need a little more time to express his feelings for you.
Which brings up a good question: what’s the most horrific, trauma-inducing reply that someone could say to, “I love you”? My vote’s for, “You have a little something between your teeth.” Click on “submit your advice” and leave your own.
Love,
The Advice Girl
