Everyone thinks I’m a lesbian because my last name is Lusby, and it makes me feel upset and angry and I just want to cry. How do I make it stop?

Dear Soccer Chick,

There isn’t a name on earth that mean, jerky bullies can’t figure out a way to make fun of. Seriously. Everyone who’s ever survived grade school has a story like yours.

The best thing to do about it is to completely, utterly ignore it. Literally any other reaction (even the best comeback ever) will just encourage more stupid name-calling. Walk away, simmer down and go home and blog about it or something.

And be happy your name isn’t Sissy von Peniskisser.

First of all, there is nothing wrong with being a lesbian. But people will always try and get you down and I know it's easier said than done but the best thing to do is to ignore them.
