Why do skinny jeans look weird on me?

I have a long torso, and skinny jeans look weird on me, too. I have a great pair of straight-leg jeans that looks really good on me, though. Also, colored skinny jeans sometimes work better for some people. The March 2010 issue of Seventeen magazine had a GREAT 'Jeans for Your Body' article. They had some different body types than usual and I liked it. :) Don't stress if you can't pull off a certain clothing trend, it will probably fade in a couple of years, anyways. And you can always go with something classic, like bootcut, which flatter almost /everyone/. (They sound 'mom-jean-ish,' but they're actually pretty cute if you find a good pair. Aeropostale has really cute jeans that fit a lot of people, and they have really good sales at certain parts of the year. (I went in the first week of September 2009 and everything was on sale or under $20-25!)
