Should I start wearing makeup?

Dear Advice Girl,

I’m not a girly girl. I’m a tomboy, I hate tight-fitting clothes, and I think makeup is pretty much pointless.

My boyfriend says I’m beautiful without makeup. But if I were to wear some and actually act like a girl for once, would he prefer that?

It sounds like you’re pretty comfortable with doing the au natural thing.

But while too much makeup can be a drag, why not put a little on and see how you like it? Not 'cause all girls need to wear makeup - but because trying out styles is a good thing. It lets you see yourself in brand new ways. And if you hate your new look, you can ditch it forever.

As far as your boy’s opinion goes, well, it doesn’t matter too much. If you hate makeup and skirts with a vengeance, then you should never have to wear them for anyone’s benefit.
