Staying Safe Online
We've designed our sites to make hanging out online as safe as possible. But that doesn't get you off the hook you have to be smart and responsible, too. In real life, you would never give private information to a stranger. Play by the same rules online.
What We Do To Keep You Safe:
- No personally identifiable info is allowed in your profile, period. If you´re here to try to share that kind of information, you´re on the wrong site.
- We screen all photos before other users can see them, and we screen public comments from users under 18. That way, inappropriate and offensive content is kept off the site.
- We never, ever allow adults to contact minors, and vice versa.
- If you do see something inappropriate (or fake, or gross), we've provided a "report this photo" link under all user photos.
- Before two users can send mail, they have to be mutual matches (by checking out each other's profiles and agreeing to be connected) which means you won't get gross, unsolicited mail from creeps.
- Even if you´re mutually matched with another user, we still don´t allow you to pass email addresses and phone numbers through our match mail system.
- We do everything we can to ensure that adults aren´t posing as teenagers and vice versa: we forbid users to change their birthdays; we screen all user-submitted content for suspicious behavior; we investigate all reports about suspicious users; we block deleted email addresses from being used again. We know that online social networks make it really easy for people to lie about their age, but we´re pulling out all the stops to ensure that it doesn´t happen on our site.
- On all profiles, IM windows and mail messages, there's a "block" button to click if you never want to see or hear from that user again.
- Our support team is always around if you have a safety concern.
What You Can Do
Here are some basic rules for interacting online. If you have questions, concerns or thoughts, contact us.
- Don't give out any personally identifiable information (like your screenname, email address or phone number) on eSPIN.com. eSPIN is an online flirting game for your own safety, don´t take it offline.
- If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian before using eSPIN.com. Seriously if you think your parents are gonna be P.O.´d about you being here, talk to them about it first, ´cause they´re gonna be way angrier if they find out the hard way.
- Watch what you say! It's fun to flirt, but take it easy. Don't ever type anything that you'd be embarrassed to say in a public place.
- Speak up! If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, click here and tell us about it right now.
- Trust your instincts: if you think someone is lying, they probably are. Email us about it.
- If someone makes you uncomfortable, stop talking to them. You don't owe them an explanation. Just stop. You can use our BLOCK feature to make sure that you never hear from them again.
